TERRIFIC HEADS. Special mention here for the sculptures called ► "Terrific Heads", both Fantasy and Surrealist, which over the years will tend to recur independently.
1998–2001 — ABSTRACTISM
STUDIES ON NATURAL FORMS. Insights into Drawing to improve surrealist works: Humans, Landscapes, Perspective. In particular, a reworking of Clouds as Fractals which initiates an abstractionist trend. The painting ► "The Knight of Water" (2001) as a synthesis and allegory of this stylistic change. Progressive abandonment of the Surrealist Project.
GESTURAL MATERIC ABSTRACTISM. Renting of a garage and experiments in Materic Painting and in Automatic Writing. The table ► "EOCP" (2001) begins studies in Gestural Abstractionism and the production of ► Gestural Abstract Materic Panels.
DECORATIVE PANELS. An exhibition of samples in Materic Abstractionism inaugurates the versatility of this technique in Interior Design, in any case as introduction to Interior bespoke works.
2003 — INTERIOR DECORATION
MATERIC DECORATIONS. Some tailored panels are asked to be fixed on furniture, or for the furniture itself to be decorated with materic painting, or for the decorations to be Figurative: such requests lead to ► Decorative Materic Figurative Painting.

2005 — WRITTEN WORKS
FANTASY ETYMOLOGY. Readings by Zecharia Sitchin that recall some speculations of Etymology (see 1994). Ideation and realization of a work of Fantasy Etymology: "The Indo-European Spaceships" (2005).
THE PEOPLES OF THE SEA. Viewing of a documentary by Valerio Massimo Manfredi on linguistic associations with the "Peoples of the Sea". Insights into Comparative Toponymy. Since 2007, publication by versions of the ► "Theory of the Siberian Canoe" (final in 2021) formalizing the "Primary Environmental Ethnic Phonemes".
THE INTERPRETATION OF DREAMS. Readings by Esther Harding and insights into the Psychology of Symbols. The Surrealist Project (see 1996) is recalled as study material. Intuition of the possibility of examining Dreams through the Geometry of the Clouds (see 2001). Birth of the "Interpretation of Dreams as Fractals" which will lead to the development of a non-deterministic study method (published in 2021).
2010 — FIGURATIVE GESTURAL EXPRESSIONISM
AUTOMATIC EXPRESSIONISM. The artistic activity resumes in 2010 with ► Drawings in Abstract Gestural Expressionism. Compositional applications of Automatic Writing in ► Panels in Composite Expressionism.
FRACTAL EXPRESSIONISM. Acknowledgment that Gestural Art can be reconverted into a Figurative genre through Fractal Geometry. Realization of ► Cloud-shaped Portraits and Crystal-Cities as examples of "Fractal Expressionism". New studies on the Geometry of Clouds.
RESEARCH FOR A FIGURATIVE EXPRESSIONISM. Reworking of figurative subjects to support the trend towards "Gestural Realism": ► Drawings of Warriors, Animals, Flowers and Architecture including some Illustrations for Fairy Tales by Andersen.
— The ► Panels in Figurative Materic Gestural Painting summarize the studies carried out so far.
2012 — STYLIZED EXPRESSIONISM
GEOMETRIZATION. The absence of a laboratory validates a tendency towards Geometrization, already expressed in the Gestural Abstraction Drawings (see 2010) which in this period develop a "Waves and Vortexes" motif. Automatic Painting begins an evolution up to Geometric Minimalism, while Materic Action-Painting becomes Stylization. Only Paintings on large surfaces preserve the historical gestural character [see Janet Sobel – Wikipedia]:
-
► Materic Panels with Stylized Flowers or "Monsters"
► Compositions in Geometric Automatism
► Mural paintings in "Geometric Minimalism"
► Large Surfaces in Action-Painting
STYLIZATION. Stylization initiates a further path for a Gestural Realism:
TRANSITION. A particular consequence of Stylization is the painting entitled ► "Transition" (2013). The title refers both to the passage "from the theme of the Warrior to Female Models", and to the return "from Abstraction to the Human Figure". Beginning of the Transitional Expressionism with a series of ► Drawings and Paintings of Female Figures in Stylized Expressionism increasingly oriented to Realism.
2015 — FIGURATIVE ACTION-PAINTING
GESTURAL FIGURATIVE EXPRESSIONISM. Gradually by abandoning a geometric stylization, the Transitional Expressionism achieves the Return to the Human Figure and gets linked to the earliest experiences of Figurative Expressionism of 2010.
-
► Drawings of Warriors, "Strange People" and Animals
► Character-Design-oriented Portraits of Women
► Fantasy Compositions with Natural Elements and Space-Art
► Series of Drawings "Solitude" (2017)
REFLECTIONS OF METAPHYSICS. The Interpretation of Dreams (see 2007) progresses as a Metaphysics of Creativity. Some ► Graphic compositions are accompanied by Metaphysical Reflections .
2018 — CONCEPT-DESIGN
THE REALISTIC HUMAN FIGURE. Figurative Gestural Expressionism is now the prevailing style. The Portraits of Woman (see above) now continue with Nude Studies and Metaphysical Portraits. From this period too are the ► Drawings of Characters in Red Pen.
FASHION DRAWING. The Return to the Human Figure brings back to Costume Design (see 1994) and to Technical Drawing in an Expressionist key. Realization of ► Concept-Sketching of Fashion Accessories and Product-Design.
2018 — DIGITAL ARTS
DIGITAL TRANSLATIONS. Concept-Design triggers an interest in Digital Techniques, both technical and artistic:
-
► Company Logos
► Technical-Architectural 3D-CAD
► Digital Compositions and Minimalism
► Landscape Photos and Videos
ELECTRONIC MUSIC. The musical activity resumes with digital instruments. Experimentation with various types of composition and ► Electronic Music Publications. In general, interest also in Creative Coding and Data Representation.
2021 — CONCLUSIONS
STUDIES OF COMPARATIVE ETYMOLOGY. The "Theory of the Siberian Canoe" (see 2005) is concluded with the project ►" The Mendeleev's Periodic Table of Linguistics".
THEORY OF CREATIVE PROCESSES. The Study of Dreams (see 2007) is consolidated as Philosophy of Systems and is formalized in the series of short essays The Interpretation of Dreams as Fractals" (see the page ► Research); eventually, the definition of Study Techniques based on Creative Processes brings artistic practice and scientific interests to merge into the "Conceptual design".
